Mixture of honey and olive oil is also one of the effective home remedies to lighten hair. Mix honey (one to two tablespoons) with olive oil (one to two tablespoons). Now massage your hair with this mixture and allow it to stay on your hair for almost thirty minutes. Wash it off with shampoo.
